matt storm

he sat there. in a row to my front left. Matt storm. he had been my best friend through training and now we where going to actuality go into war together. i barley listen to what our captain was saying. probably the something as usual how nothing can truly prepare us for what lies before us or how important our job is to our country. our mission isn't complex or anything just hard. a strong fortified bunk was under Taliban control. we had to be flown into a small flat area then we had to travel through a "valley." then we had to eradicate all hostiles with in the bunker. we where flown in, in two helicopters each carrying 8 troops. that's all i really needed to know the rest of t he briefing was rather pointless. we entered the Huey's i took a spot next two Matt.
"a whole lot of risk for just a job." Matt shouts to me over the roar of the Huey's.
"i don't got a better job" i respond
we sat for while then we where landing the helicopter touched the ground and we all rushed out onto the sand and when the last one of out was out i slammed the doors shut and we moved towards the valley. if you where to just look at it, it wouldn't look like a place for a large number of terrorist to be hiding. but of course we where told to do this so that is just what we are gonna do.
sure enough as soon as we step into the valley we are under heavy fire. i find my self instantly start firing back at anywhere there is gun fire from. soon all the gun fire stops and we move forward. the bunker is insight. it has a entrance with people at the front. as soon as i see them they see me and my team. all of a sudden hear shouting from behind me i turn to see four people running wildly at me shooting with out really aiming at anything. i shoot one. another falls. i see Matt right next to me. i shoot at the third one he goes down. but then as i began shooting at the fourth the third grabs his gun. a bullet goes though my leg. another one goes though my right should as I'm lying on the on the dirt i get grabbed and i find myself being pulled. then i black out. when i wake up i am on a lame straw bed or something i try to move and my arm floods with pain. Matt runs up to me as i look to see my shoulder and my leg tied with what might have once been white cloth. Matt begins talking about how i was shoot and how he got that guy real good and how they have all ready called for an air lift. i look to see that i am one of two guys who are lying on beds. i ask Matt how many of us there where left. Matt begins talking again but i fade into sleep like stage. when i am awake again Matt isn't in with me. instead it is another guy who had been in our helicopter. he gives me a status on our troops left only one person didn't make but me and the other guy where both hit. he said that the other guy isn't looking to well. i look over to see. he isn't looking to well. when all of a sudden we hear gun fire from out side. he rushes grabs his gun and is out the door. i look at my shoulder to see that my red cloth had been swapped for some new white ones. i try moving my arm and leg. they both move but barley i get up and walk out side to see my my comrades shooting desperately at waves of enemy troops. a Iraqi terrorist get within 4 ft when someone shot him down. i hobble over to his dead dead body and take his gun. Matt shouts at points at me. i grab the gun and shout down several people.when there is none left. someone comes over to me. he helps me walk back inside. several people are there with me, Matt is one of them. they ask me how walking for the first time in 3 weeks. in my head I'm thinking 3 weeks. I've been asleep that long hows that passable when where those people talking to me. Matt said that people where coming to save us. i Begin asking questions. Matt and the other guy where in there with me at 2 1/2 weeks and the third week. they had been feeding me when i would wake up in a sleep like trance. the air lift had sent in people who where attacked the helicopters flew away and they left 8 people and some supplies. they where gonna try again when the other guy was able to walk. i look and Matt says that might never happen. his leg is shot in three places his stomach had a large piece shrapnel with in it. all of a sudden he coughs up blood and they rush of to him when they go to check his pulse and is breath, he was dead. we decided that we should leave soon because we couldn't last out at our position. we called in for an air lift. i was informed that we had to lived in 30 minutes. i grabbed a gun and several cases of ammunition as did my Buddy's. we left and as we did waves of people came running down from behind the bunker. we all begin to run. i could hardly walk non the less run. i hobbled along i turn and shot. i was shoot large amounts of people down at a time for i was a elite sharpshooter. 1 hit one kill. i was moving as fast as i could and shooting down person after person. i turned to reload. when i was shot in the back. i fell to the ground. i had amour on the pain was still intense. i was laying on the ground. i rolled onto my back grabbed my gun i thought if I'm going down then I'm going down with a fight. I'm shooting people when i feel my self being dragged along the sand I'm still shooting as i get dragged. I'm picked up to my feet. and being carried along the sand i hobble then i get light headed. I'm hardly able to think when i feel myself tossed into a padded seat. people are out side shooting as one by one they get in. the last to enter is Matt. we are flown away to see a bomber plane fly right above the valley. and it levels the bunker. then i black out from blood loss. when i wake back up I'm back in the military base. it was the hospital area. i tried to get up and as i did a nurse came in and told me to lye down. some cables and stuff where coming out of me. my back was in pain but not the same kind like when i was in the bunker. i just sat their for a while when Matt the rest of the team came in. they conversed the nurse to get the Doctor to take the stuff off. the Doctor took the wires of me and i got up and walked around. i couldn't move at any amazing speed. but a slight jog was well with in capability's. sevearal weeks passmy team is sent on some mission. i stayed back to let my self recover all the way. thier was a week when the team came back and i was able to sprint again for 50 yards. when the call came in...

Dear Susan Davis,
I am writing to you urging that you will produce a new case for renewable energy. I am Grant Choy I go to High Tech Middle Media Arts I live in the 92103 area. I am important to you because I am one of the people that your decisions will affect.

I know that you have supported bills like this one before. I see you are making steps towards a better cleaner healthier world including the safe climate act, H.R. 197 and H.R. 539. Yet I urge you to take another step to make to cause future generations to be able to live in a clean environment.

Though I believe you may already know this I would like you to know the advantages to using renewable energy. If we were to switch to renewable energy we would be able to reduce our dependence upon fossil fuels that pollute our environment. The effects that this would have on our environment would be substantial. Over population is a problem and the matter of polar ice caps melting and the water level rising people would have to move away from the cost line witch would cause more people to live in less space. Also rising water level will flood building if we are force to move back this would cause pollution of our oceans.

This would have economical impacts if we were to use renewable energies such as solar or wind it would not require people to do work. That they would not have to pay people witch would lower the price of electricity making it easier on families to pay their bills. This will loosen up money that people use to pay their taxies meaning that the government has more money available. This money could go to things that are currently suffering from budget cuts such as education. With higher education available it will be easier for people to get jobs. This will make people have more money which will put more money back into the economy.

Here are some things you could do to
o Placing caps on emissions
o Putting a max on M.P.G.s
o Send government funding into development of renewable energy

Sincerely,
Grant Choy
